Greetings, parents, and happy New Year,
We are grateful to have made it to 2024 and had a blessed first semester. Please review the following information, reminders, and updates as we prepare for a fantastic second semester.
Parents, please continue checking Class Dojo, the school website, and your scholar’s binder for all updates. If you ever have any questions, please reach out. Please email email@example.com to reach the office and contact your scholar’s homeroom teacher for general questions, and for questions regarding a specific subject, please contact that teacher. Please continue going to the classroom updates section of the website for the WAAG and other class posts. Go to the parent info tab to find the Eagle Updates.
As we strive toward excellence daily, please ensure that your scholar is dressed in alignment with the established dress code policy, which can be found in the parent handbook on page 18. Please ensure that your scholar’s clothes are laundered and ironed. Additionally, please ensure that your scholar is well-groomed and follows good hygiene, as learned in health class (i.e., brushing teeth, washing face/body, combing hair).
Additionally, check your scholar’s backpack daily and ensure that toys and other unneeded supplies are left at home to eliminate distractions and reduce the weight of backpacks. Also, please ensure that your scholar’s backpack/lunchbox is clean. To prevent accidents and excessive restroom breaks, scholars may not have water bottles out during class. They may take their bottles to lunch, and they must be spill-proof. Please make sure these and other items are properly labeled (i.e., sweaters, coats, jackets, hats, etc.) and any items that may be lost or displaced. Please note that according to the Parent Handbook, BOLPA is not responsible for any items that are lost or displaced.
It is imperative for second-semester success that scholars are on time for school, properly prepared for all classes, and ready to learn. Scholars should now be acclimated to the class workload and should be able to work without constant step-by-step guidance. Please encourage your scholar to be attentive to instructions during class. All homework assignments are due the following day unless instructed otherwise. Late homework will not be accepted per the Parent Handbook (pg. 31). Scholars must have their homework for all classes upon arrival. The homework will not be accepted if they arrive late and miss a class due to unexcused tardiness.
Encourage your scholar to strive for excellence every day. Please familiarize yourself with the no-tolerance policy in the handbook (pg. 26). Communication is key as we collaborate to ensure the success of all scholars’ success. For clear communication, please follow the chain of command for conflict resolution.
We look forward to a wonderful second semester and pray that you and your family have a prosperous new year!
