Greetings, Parents,
As we embark on a new year, we are excited to share that scholars will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the Bible beyond the usual ABC Bible Verses. In addition, each month, they will be challenged to learn a passage or chapter from the Bible, with the aim of committing the word of God to memory and living a life of holiness. Additionally, scholars must learn Psalm 91 and BOLPA’s Daily Confession, along with the other prayers and declarations in your scholar’s binder. We invite you to join us in this endeavor and support scholars in their journey to deepen their understanding of the Bible. Together, we can help them thrive and grow in their faith.
August: Genesis 1:1-5
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
ABC Bible Verses (Scholars must recite the verse and where they’re found):
A– All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
B– Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31)
C– Children, obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1)
Scholars will be tested on Genesis 1:1-5 and Bible Verses A,B, and C on Wednesday, August 30th.
