Dear Parents,
We have two educational field trips planned for this semester! One to the Memphis City Zoo and the other to the Discovery Park of America in Union City. The total cost of both trips is $86.00. This price includes transportation, admission, lunch, and activities in the zoo and the park.
Payments are due on or before March 24, 2023. We are unable to accept payments after this date, and all payments are non-refundable.
Parents are welcome to attend both trips as volunteers/chaperones but must provide their own transportation. Volunteers must be background checked and attend the mandatory orientation. Admission to the Discovery Park of America is $25.00, and Zoo admission is $21.00. Again, parent attendees are permitted as volunteers/chaperones only.
We will visit the Memphis Zoo on April 14th. Scholars must arrive by 8:00 AM to attend the trip. If your scholar arrives after 8:00 AM, they will not attend the trip.
Scholars will journey to the Discovery Park of America on Friday, May 12th, and must arrive at school no later than 7:00 AM. We will receive scholars from 6:30 to 7:00 AM. A grab-and-go breakfast will be provided, and the bus will depat at 7:30 AM. If your scholar arrives after 7:00 AM, even if the bus has not departed, they will not be allowed to attend the trip.
All payments must be made through our Eagle shop. Please visit www.bol.academy/shop/
Tickets will be live tomorrow, March 8th.
Our fundraiser is back with new and exciting incentives. The fundraiser will run the entire month of March. A new code will be shared every Tuesday, here in our Eagle Updates. This week’s code is TRC LOS.
New and Exciting Incentives
- Every week there will be a winner. The winners will be announced weekly and will receive a gift card.
- The class with 100% participation, with sales of $50 or more, will be invited to Urban Air. On the designated day, parents will be asked to pick their scholar up from school at 1:30 pm and go to Urban Air to celebrate, with their class.
The spelling bee is this week!
The Kindergarten and 1st Grade bee is Thursday at 10:00 am, and the 2nd and 3rd Grade bee is Thursday at 1:00 pm. Parents and supporters are welcome to attend the spelling bee and may enter through the main entrance (pick-up location) 20 minutes prior to the start times. This week, scholars will not have a spelling test; therefore, scholars should use their study time to prepare for the spelling bee. We will resume spelling tests after spring break with list 23 for 1st-3rd and list 13 for Senior K on March 23rd!
Please advise if you have any questions.

Amendment to Elementary Attendance Policy Effective Immediately Effective immediately, all elementary scholars must arrive at school early enough to enter their classroom by 9:00 AM. If scholars are not received by their teacher at 9:00 AM, they will be marked tardy. Arriving at the school’s entrance at 9:00 AM will result in a tardy mark. |
Elementary Attendance Policy Parents, we appreciate advance notice of early dismissal; however, please let us know when you arrive on campus for your scholar to be called to the front office. Scholars will not pack up and leave class prior to your arrival. As a reminder, the cut-off time for early dismissal is 3:30 PM. If you have not arrived on campus and contacted the office by 3:30 PM, your scholar will not be dismissed early. Also, note that five unexcused absences/tardies equal one unexcused absence. Thank you for adhering to our policy. |
Carline Reminders As a reminder, please keep your window lowered while in the carline during dismissal so that we may easily and quickly identify you. As a reminder, we ask that you move into a parking space to buckle your scholar in so we can move expeditiously. Parents are asked not to go around other vehicles in the car line for safety reasons. We ask that you patiently wait for the vehicle ahead of you to pull off before the next vehicle moves. |
