I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news with you regarding the 3rd-grade writing class. Our scholars have embarked on a wonderful project called My Animal Notebook, which will span over the next few months. Scholars will work on their projects in their writing class and science class. This project will provide scholars with the opportunity to gather information, write reports, and collect pictures for each animal classification, helping them develop essential research skills.

During this project, scholars will also enhance other skills such as time management, organizing, and creativity. This project will instill confidence in our scholars, making it easier for them to undertake research projects in the future.

As we encourage our scholars to stay focused and meet deadlines, I kindly request your support in reinforcing this message at home. I understand the importance of creating an attractive project and have advised our scholars accordingly. I expect them to write neatly and legibly to ensure their work is easily readable. Please note that scholars will lose points off of their projects and have their conduct lowered when deadlines are missed. Scholars are responsible for reviewing our class calendar and listening attentively in class to keep up with deadlines.

Lastly, a project rubric will be shared soon. I encourage you to review the rubric carefully with your child to help them understand what is expected of them and ensure they meet all the requirements.
