BOLPA treats all children and their families with respect while ensuring each child experiences a safe, healthy, fun-learning environment in a loving, caring and happy atmosphere.
We offer an all-inclusive learning experience through biblical instruction through the use of songs, simple Bible verses and stories; academic instruction through identifying and manipulating letters, numbers, colors and shapes as well as age appropriate computer skills; creative Instruction through music and movement, dramatic play, home living, cooking, science and sensory. Eaglets also enjoy indoor & outdoor play to develop their fine and gross motor skills.
Our transitional class further develops their cognitive skills, and enhancing their storytelling and writing skills as well. Transitional scholars also enhance their independent learning experiences while fitness, art history and manners are expected to be a part of the preschooler’s daily schedule.
Our Pre-K3 students are introduced to letters and sounds as well as writing skills. They also receive introduction to basic pre-reading skills such as sight words and comprehension skills. In Mathematics, they learn basic number concepts, quantity match and subitizing (conceptual/perceptual), shapes and more advanced geometric shapes.
Our Pre-K4 students build on their Reading and Phonics as they continue practicing letters and sounds, consonants verses vowel understanding and basic CVC. Most students are reading kindergarten level with fluency and also introduced to more mandate sight-words and comprehension with enhanced Literacy and Creative Skills. In mathematics- we concentrate on addition and subtraction along with subitizing (conceptual/perceptual). In Handwriting, they introduced cursive writing and taught letter line relationships and proper spacing. Science and Social Studies explores the world around them such as the five senses and historical figures such as President Washington and Dr. King.
