Dear Parents,
We hope this message finds you well. We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your continued support and partnership in our scholars’ education. We are delighted to inform you that our History and Science classes have been progressing splendidly, and we are excited about all that is yet to come.
We kindly request that scholars bring their Science books, History books, and Bible readers home daily to reinforce their learning. Our scholars are responsible for bringing their books back and forth daily for homework assignments or additional study time. We want to remind you that unpreparedness for class will result in a loss of participation points and will affect your scholar’s conduct.
In addition, scholars are permitted to read ahead at home. There are comprehension questions in their textbooks that are essential to their learning, and it is imperative that they remain focused and attentive during class. Missing even one question can significantly impact their classwork score for that day. We encourage our scholars to study the comprehension questions beforehand, but they should wait to write their answers in the book until the activity is assigned in class. Reading ahead will enable your scholar to be an active participant in classroom conversations and feel confident when transferring their knowledge to paper.
We are thrilled about all that will take place in our Science and History classes, and we encourage you to ask your scholar questions about what they are learning. Reviewing their textbooks with them will help you stay knowledgeable about classroom skills and topics. Please stay tuned to our website and Class Dojo to see what our scholars are learning.
Once again, we would like to express our appreciation for your constant support and pray for all the best.
Sincerely,
BOLPA’s Collaborative Team
